AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Spectacular polychrome slip-decorated cache-pots (planters) in high relief, from the Art Nouveau period (late 19th – early 20th century). This model stands out for its exceptional luminosity.

The Decor: The theme is a true hymn to romantic nature. You can see pairs of birds nesting on flowering branches, topped with large cobalt blue ribbon knots in relief. The base is also very elaborate with blue and pink acanthus leaf motifs. Although unsigned, these cache-pots are characteristic of productions from the North of France or Belgium (Wasmuël or Onnaing type). They bear decorator marks "A" and "B" painted on the reverse.

Condition: These pieces are over 100 years old and very well preserved.

Note: One of the cache-pots has a small chip (fissure) on the base. This defect does not prevent decorative use (with a plant inside, it’s invisible!), but it is reflected in the softly discounted price for this exceptional pair. Please take a close look at the photos.

The colors are vivid and the glaze is glossy.

Ideal to bring a touch of a colored "Winter Garden" or "Cabinet of Curiosities" to your interior.

Dimensions (per cache-pot):

Height: 21.5 cm.
Neck diameter: 22 cm.
