20th‑century wooden cabinet in antique Luigi XV style, with a central bombe body, three stacked drawers and two levels of open side shelves, veneered in figured wood with gilded bronze details.
Description from the seller
Refined 20th-century cabinet of exquisite craftsmanship, realized in the classic and timeless Louis XV style. This piece of furniture is distinguished by its sinuous lines and the elegant domed central body, which houses three stacked convenient drawers. The true peculiarity of the design lies in the two tiers of open side shelves, elements that lighten the structure, giving it movement and offering an ideal space to display small decorative objects.
The entire surface of the cabinet is clad with a luminous burl veneer. The wood grain, arranged in mirroring on the top plane and on the fronts, creates a warm and enveloping color play, framed by delicate fillets. To further enrich the aesthetic value of the piece are rich applications in gilded and chased bronze. The contoured handles, the majestic floral frieze on the lower apron, the details on the shoulders, and the classic sabot feet all harmonize perfectly with the curved shapes of the wood.
Supporting the structure are four slender cabriole legs, which confer a grace and lightness typical of French-inspired cabinetmaking. It is a furnishing item of great scenic charm, perfect for enhancing an impressive entrance, ornamenting an elegant living room, or serving as a focal point in a refined bedroom.
