A French double inkstand from circa 1900–1910, made of tin in the Art Nouveau style, with two ink containers and a wide channel for quills, in good condition with natural patina.
Description from the seller
Exceptional, antique double inkwell of French manufacture, made of high-quality tin, representing an excellent example of artisanal craftsmanship from the Art Nouveau era. The piece features a fluid, organic line and subtle decorations in the form of stylized volutes and botanical motifs, which are a hallmark of the Art Nouveau style. The construction includes two symmetrically arranged ink containers with inclined lids and a wide, contoured trough intended for setting down pens. Inside there are original white porcelain inserts, one of which bears traces of an old crack and has been carefully glued, which, when the lid is closed, remains invisible and does not affect the aesthetics of the whole set. The item is preserved in good condition with a natural, dark patina that emphasizes its aged character and authenticity. This elegant desk accessory will be a superb addition to an antique collection or a sophisticated decorative element for a stylish study.
