Thirteen issues of the automobile magazine Automobilia, published from October 1942 to May 1944, in very good condition and authentic.
Description from the seller
I offer 13 issues of the magazine "Automobilia", from issue 447 of October 1942 to issue 466 of May 1944.
The magazine "Automobilia" appeared on February 1, 1917 under the name "L'automobile aux armées," which it kept until issue 39 of Christmas 1918, to become "Automobilia" from issue 40 of January 15, 1919. It was bi-monthly, then became monthly in 1931, and at the beginning of World War II experienced sporadic publication, before resuming a monthly schedule from 1941, up to the last issue published in 1956.
In 1957, it was taken up again by the magazine "Moteurs," just as its main rival "La Vie Automobile" (1903-1956), whose last issue was December 1956.
The last issue before the war was 427, August-September 1939.
The magazine reappeared with issue 428 of February under the name "L'Automobile aux armées," until issue 432 of June 1940, during the "phony war" period, and then resumed its monthly rhythm, with issue 433 of August 1941 up to its disappearance in December 1956.
The 13 issues offered are those published from October 1942 to January 1943, from May to September 1943, and from February to May 1944.
The issues published from 1941 to 1945 are, as will be understood, easily almost unobtainable since their print runs were very limited. They include numerous articles from cyclecar and automobile manufacturers Marcel Violet and Emile Claveau, automobile news in France but also in non-occupied countries like the USA, and many future automobile projects.
This lot of unobtainable issues will be of the highest interest to historians and discerning enthusiasts.
