Description
Vintage Lestrade stereoscope viewer made in France, dating from approximately the 1960s–1970s.
This classic optical viewer was designed to display stereo photographs, creating a three-dimensional effect when viewed through the two lenses. The device works similarly to the well-known View-Master system and was often sold with tourist slide series.
This lot includes:
• Lestrade stereoscope viewer
• Original cardboard box
• Several stereo slide cards from the Lourdes series
The slides depict locations and scenes from Lourdes (France), a well-known pilgrimage destination.
The viewer is made of light blue plastic and remains in good vintage condition with normal signs of age. The original box shows some wear and small tears consistent with age and storage.
