AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The item up for auction is a magnificent two-part jardinière on a columnar base, originating from the famous Czech manufactory Bernhard Bloch (Eichwald). The products of this workshop from the turn of the century are valued by collectors for their exceptional glaze quality and rich ornamentation.

Material: Majolica (glazed ceramic).

Color scheme: Deep bottle-green with hand-painted details in pink and subtle umber.

Ornamentation: Relief garlands with roses, geometric handles in a meander style, and classical fluting of the column.

Signature: On the bottom there is a molded impression in the mass reading "Eichwald" and the model number 4301.

The item is preserved in very good visual condition. The glaze has retained its original luster and depth of color.

Notes: On the mounting screw (inside the jardinière) there are minimal, surface hairline cracks. These are natural changes resulting from stresses of the material at the metal pin, typical for a century-old ceramic of this construction. They do not affect the stability or aesthetics of the item when displayed.
