AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Splendid early 1900s Art Nouveau brass flower vase porte d'ornament? In Italian: This is a cylindrical form with a wide base of 10 cm. From here rises the bulbous central part in brass. Above, a perimeter band about 4 cm high, depicting cornucopias from which fruits emerge, a typical Art Nouveau example, worked and hammered in relief. To delimit this band there is a ring of beads. It is rare to find this kind of flower vases so elaborately worked. It is brass and the relief-worked band and the neck of the vase have been silver-plated.
Above the rim it is smooth and narrower.
The flower vase is 35 cm tall and 15 cm wide in the central part, base 10 cm.
It is in good condition with some signs of age that attest to its originality and years. The silvering has also held up well. I don’t love shiny metals, but those that convey the past, so I used it and left it as it is with the flavor of its years.
If desired, it can be cleaned by polishing, so that the brass shines.
A splendid flower vase, well worked, typical Art Nouveau, excellent for its measurements.
Beautiful to use as a centerpiece or on a piece of furniture as a decorative object with flowers or even empty.
It fits easily with classic or modern furniture, given the simplicity of the vase but at the same time the refinement of the details in the upper work and in the silvering.
I found it in the family palace together with all the furnishings and, given the large number of similar objects, I’m selling it so it may have a new life. My ancestors placed great importance on the home, considered a calling card, and always had very particular objects realized that expressed beauty and careful workmanship.
I have used it with maximum care and attention and the silver bath remains in good condition. Only in some points has it worn away and the brass shows through.
I ship with a courier and not by post so that it arrives sooner, with double packaging and easier communication.
Shipping costs vary depending on whether it is Europe, band one or two such as United Kingdom, Switzerland; Eastern countries band three such as Norway, Malta, Cyprus and the rest of the world.
Customs duties will be borne by the buyer.
