"Rare Nikon stereoscopic microscope model SMZ-2 (Series 70563), a high-quality instrument manufactured in Japan, recognized for its excellent depth of field and sharp three-dimensional view.
Specifications and Highlights:
Zoom System: Allows continuous variation of magnification via side controls, without swapping objective lenses.
Configuration: Binocular head tilted 45° for comfort, with diopter adjustment and interpupillary distance. Includes a pair of original Nikon 10x eyepieces.
Support Base: Mounted on original base with rack-and-pinion column for precise focusing. The base includes stage glass and lower reflector mirror for transmitted light observation.
Versatility: Ideal for collectors, but also perfectly functional for precise work in jewelry, numismatics, watchmaking, electronics (SMD soldering) or biology (entomology/botany).
