Description from the seller

Excellent collector lot consisting of 29 chassis (dark slides) for large format photography and a historical box of blank plates. This collection spans the transition between glass plates and film, with high-quality pieces in mahogany, walnut, and metal.
Details of the Lot:
• 12 Wooden Chassis (Half Plate): Internal size approx. 16 × 11.5 cm.
• 6 Wooden Chassis (18 × 14 cm): European large-format size.
• 1 Wooden Chassis (Whole Plate): Internal size approx. 21 × 16 cm. A substantial and rare piece in this condition.
• 3 Wooden Chassis (10.5 × 8.5 cm): “Quarter Plate” format.
• 7 Metal Chassis: Thin metal frames, in black metal, various sizes (mostly 10 × 8 cm), typical of German and French travel cameras.
• Extra Collector Item: Sealed original box of “Lastre a Gelatina Bromuro d’Argento - M. Cappelli (Milano)”. A relic of the Italian photographic industry, awarded the Grand Prix in 1906 and 1911.

Total weight: 8 kilos of material.
