Pair of brass and cast iron fireplace andirons - Baluster Style - 19th century
Elegant pair of nineteenth-century andirons (or landiers) from the 19th century, featuring a classic "turned" or baluster design. These pieces perfectly combine the decorative aesthetics of brass with the robustness of cast iron.
• Front part (Decorative): Magnificent elements in solid turned brass, displaying an authentic original patina. The double bulge design is typical of bourgeois interiors of the Second Empire.
• Back part (Frame): Cast-iron fireplace bars, sturdy and sound, designed to support heavy logs and withstand high temperatures. Hollow triangular profile for better heat diffusion.
• Good overall condition
• Brass with an elegant patina maintained with a soft cloth and antique wax
• Cast iron maintained with a special renovator paste for cast iron
• No cracks or major damage to report.
