This version of the Mini 3 comes with the well-known RC-N1 Remote Controller. This controller works with your smartphone and fits very comfortably in the hand. Enjoy the comfort of buttons and sticks while you look through the drone’s eyes.
DJI Fly App
You can control the Mini 3 via your smartphone using the DJI Fly app. The app features a simple interface that provides access to all settings and lets you create professional aerial shots in just a few clicks. The smartphone app is free to download for iOS (iPhone) and Android devices.
Weight
The Mini 3 drone weighs only 249 grams! Because the drone weighs less than 250 grams, in many countries you do not need a piloting license. In the Netherlands you do need to register the drone, but no training is required for this weight class.
4K/30FPS
Easily capture photos or videos from the air with this drone. The Mini 3 is equipped with a 4K camera with a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor and records at 30 frames per second. HDR video support is available.
Photography
The DJI Mini 3 takes gorgeous photos thanks to the 12MP camera with excellent colors. The lens aperture is f/1.7 and RAW editing is possible.
True Vertical Shooting
Uniquely, the camera can rotate 90° for vertical videos and photos for social media. DJI calls this True Vertical Shooting. Thus the DJI Mini 3 is not only a great drone but also a natural extension of your smartphone.
QuickShots
With the Mini 3 you can make professional aerial shots without any knowledge or flight experience. DJI has developed several QuickShots so that the most beautiful shots can be made within a few clicks. The Mini 3 is equipped with the following QuickShots: Dronie, Rocket, Circle and Helix.
GPS
The Mini 3 is equipped with GPS, so the drone can, for example, return to its starting point. With the press of a button the drone will automatically land at the spot where the quadcopter took off. Near an airport the drone will issue a warning and not take off, because it is prohibited to fly there.
Storage
Recorded footage can be stored on a microSD memory card or on your smartphone. The Mini 3 supports MicroSD memory cards up to 256GB. Always choose a fast memory card; DJI recommends a minimum UHS-I speed class of 3.
Gimbal
The camera is mounted to the drone body via a 3-axis gimbal. The gimbal ensures the camera remains in the same position even as the drone moves forward or due to wind. A gimbal is essential for stable image capture.
Propellers
The Mini 3 features foldable propellers, so the blades don’t take up extra space during transport and blend into the drone body. Unlike the Quick Release system of other DJI drones, the Mini 3’s propellers are attached with the included screwdriver.
Battery
The Mini 3 is delivered with a battery, the so-called 'Intelligent Flight Battery'.
Charging
Using the included USB charging cable you can charge the Mini 3’s battery. There is also an optional Two-Way Charging Hub available so you can charge two batteries simultaneously.
