Italian vintage mid‑century design ceiling lamp with a glass blown diffuser and nickel‑plated brass fittings, dating from the 1960s–1970s, in good used condition with some age-related marks, 29 cm wide, 41 cm high (55 cm from ceiling), 1 fitting, working but electricals not guaranteed, sold without bulbs.
Description from the seller
This lamp is a refined example of vintage Mid-Century lighting produced in Italy in the 60s/70s. It stands out for the combination of classic materials and geometric shapes typical of Space Age design.
Diffuser: A sphere of blown transparent glass, often characterized by artisanal finishes such as the "bullicante" effect (small air bubbles trapped in the glass) or "screpolato".
Structure: Upper cylinder and rosette in nickel-plated brass, with vertical slits for heat dissipation and a decorative effect of grazing light.
Similar models were produced by prestigious design names for Seguso, Doria Leuchten, or Murano glassworks such as Venini, VeArt and Mazzega.
The glass is in perfect condition. The structure shows some oxidation and in some areas the nickel plating is less present.
The lamp is functioning but the electrical system is not guaranteed.
It is sold without bulbs.
