In the auction a real piece of German technology history: the Grundig Satellit 2000 (model 2099). Produced between 1973 and 1975, this radio is considered by collectors as one of the best “world receivers” ever made for build quality and reception sensitivity.

Extremely wide-band reception: Covers FM, LW, MW and as many as 18 SW bands (short waves). Features the famous rotating drum fully functional for selecting oceanic bands.

Item condition: Working
Aesthetics: The unit is in very good condition. Plastics are intact, the chrome is shiny, and the talking scales are clearly legible. The antenna is intact.
Functioning: The radio powers on and receives on all bands/FM. It shows a slight crackling, probably a sign that the potentiometers need cleaning. The scale illumination works on all except FM.
Power supply: Operates with a mains cable (included) or with batteries.
