AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antique French tin-glazed faience plate produced in Bordeaux during the second half of the 18th century (circa 1760–1780).
The plate is decorated with the characteristic “à la levrette” motif, depicting a stylised running dog painted in green copper oxide with manganese outlines. The central figure is surrounded by hand-painted floral and vegetal elements forming a decorative garland.
This type of decoration is typical of Bordeaux faience workshops of the Louis XV – Louis XVI period.
The plate has a lobed / scalloped rim and is entirely hand-painted on tin-glazed earthenware.
Small glaze irregularities, firing marks and slight imperfections are consistent with authentic 18th-century handmade production.
A decorative and collectible example of French regional faience.
