Portable CIMEL analog multimeter – Vintage scientific instrument – France – 1950s–1960s
This device was used to measure various electrical values (voltage, current and resistance) and was used in laboratories, electronics workshops or technical departments.
The robust design with carrying handle, multi-scale dial and rotary selectors is typical of professional scientific instruments from the mid-20th century.
The device has several measurement ranges indicated on the front panel (voltage, milliamps, ohms) with different switch positions.
A fine technical object representative of the history of French scientific instrumentation.
