Description from the seller

The scene is a classic depiction of the Annunciation, where the archangel Gabriel (left) announces to the Virgin Mary (right) that she will give birth to Jesus.

Gabriel is typically depicted with wings and a halo, and often carries a staff or a symbolic bundle of lilies, as seen in his hand.

The motif is somewhat worn on the surface, but the significant action is obvious. In addition, Greek text on the right side at the top.

Supposed to have been made in the second half of the 19th century.
