Fantastic book, increasingly difficult to find. Catalog collects photographs of prostitutes who were provided to selected clients of a brothel and shown to the artist Miguel Calderón by his uncle when he was thirteen, so that he could choose one for his “rite of initiation into adulthood.” Thirty years later, Calderón has recovered these images and turned them into part of a narrative that, starting from a clearly defined context and age, uses them to analyze and tell of his sexual awakening.

But what happens when a child grows up and becomes a young person, thinking that sex has a monetary value and that making love without paying is more the exception than the rule?
