Description from the seller
This teakwood service cart hails from the Mid-Century Modern period of the 1960s and features an elegant, organic form influenced by the Scandinavian design of that era.
The frame is made of solid teak with softly rounded edges and flowing transitions. The side frames are crafted from curved wooden elements and also serve as practical handles, allowing the cart to be moved easily and used comfortably. The warm, reddish-brown grain of the teak emphasizes the high-quality aura of the furniture.
The cart has two shelves. The upper level is designed as a removable tray and can be used on both sides. One side has a light Resopal surface that is water-resistant and particularly easy to maintain – ideal for serving drinks or food. The other side shows a teak wood surface, which is also in very good condition and provides a warm, natural look.
The lower shelf consists of teak veneer and offers additional space for bottles, glasses, or dishes. On this level there is a small, professionally executed veneer repair (see detail photos). It is stable and does not affect the function or stability of the piece.
Four casters enable flexible use as a service cart, bar cart, or mobile side table.
Overall, the service cart is in good vintage condition with minor, age-related signs of wear that underscore the authentic character of the piece.
