Set of 3 enameled cast iron cookware dishes – France – 1950s to 1970s – bee/crown mark
A set of three enameled cast iron dishes originally from France, illustrating the evolution of culinary production between the 1950s and the early 1970s.
Round pastel green enameled cast iron dish – 1950s – bee/crown marking
Old enameled cast iron dish, exterior pastel green and speckled white interior.
Marking under the base: No. 17-5 accompanied by a bee/crown symbol
Made in France, 1950s
Manufacturer: independent foundry not identified (production predating the standardization of major brands)
Two lateral handles with the distinctive ribbed relief
Dimensions:
Height: 6 cm
Diameter: 19 cm
Length with handles: 23 cm
Condition:
Interior shows signs of use, minor scratches and early crazing of the enamel.
A chip on the rim.
Exterior in generally good condition.
The bee/crown marking is typical of certain older French productions and is of interest to collectors.
