"Belle fatma", a very beautiful portrait attributed to Jean Paul Sebah (XIX).
A very beautiful albumen print in very good preservation, free (not mounted, rare), and with excellent preservation of contrasts, grayscale nuances and levels of detail.
Labeled in the negative.
Will be shipped with its sleeve and its cardboard support at neutral pH (ideal for a collection in good condition).
Jean‑Paul Sebah (1872–1947) was an active photographer in Istanbul, heir to an important dynasty of photographers established in the Ottoman Empire. He is the son of the famous photographer Pascal Sébah, who founded in the 1850s one of the most renowned photographic studios in Constantinople.
