Chema Madoz 2000-2005 is a first edition Spanish-language photography book in softcover, 238 pages, published by Ministerio de Cultura, covering works from 2000 to 2005, and in very good condition.
Description from the seller
The awarding of the National Photography Prize for the year 2000 to Chema Madoz signified institutional recognition of a singular artist, capable of conveying, through a precise and delicate manipulation of objects, a universe of great poetic subtlety with a photographic resolution refined in technique and precise in concept.
The exhibition that the Ministry of Culture presented, on the occasion of the awarding of said Prize, is the second retrospective held in Spain on Chema Madoz's work. The first took place at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, coincidentally a few months before the National Prize was awarded to him.
The book includes a wide selection of pieces that span the entire subsequent period of his photographic production; the almost six years elapsed between that exhibition of the year 2000 and the last months of 2005.
