AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful, large opercular shell Chicoreus ramosus—popularly known as ramure murex or branching murex—is a species of predatory marine snail, a mollusk in the family Muricidae, the murex snails. C. ramosus has a large, solid, very tough and heavy shell. It has a relatively globose outline, a short spire, a slightly inflated body whorl, and a moderately long siphonal canal. One of the most striking adornments are the eye-catching, leaf-like, curved, hollow digits. It also features three axial ribs on the whorl, with two elongated nodes between them. Externally the shell is colored from white to light brown, with a white aperture, usually pink toward the inner edge, the outer lip and the columella. Dimensions - 155/185/260 mm. I highly recommend it to collectors and interior decorators.
