Repubblica and National Geographic present an unpublished work, curated by Michele Smargiassi, dedicated to the geniuses who innovated the world of photography. This monographic work summarizes the career of the famous Hungarian reporter Robert Capa in all its facets.

Robert Capa (1913–1954) was one of the most famous photojournalists of the 20th century, known for his ability to tell the story of war and the human experience through intense and direct images.
He documented five great conflicts: the Spanish Civil War, the Second Sino-Japanese War, World War II (including the famous D-Day landing photos), the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and the First Indochina War, where he lost his life in 1954. He was also cofounder, together with Henri Cartier-Bresson and others, of the renowned photographic agency Magnum Photos, a benchmark for independent photojournalism.
