Description from the seller
Dudognon Paulin Cognac
The oldest Cognac from House Dudognon, this expression is a rare jewel from the Premier Cru. Dudognon Paulin Cognac is an exceptional Cognac that has been carefully kept for three generations deep in the cellars of this Maison, awaiting the right moment to be revealed. Many years ago it was distilled over a wood fire by Raymond Dudognon, the father of Claudine Dudognon and grandfather of her son Pierre. Together they ensure that the family tradition continues and that the treasures of the past are handed down to today’s consumers. Only the quality of Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie and the passage of time can create a Cognac like this. Cherish it.
The House of Dudognon is a family of winegrowers who have been tending their land for generations. Although Dudogne largely harvests Ugni Blanc grapes, through careful tending of the vines and respect for the delicate balance of the soil they have also recovered Folle Blanche and Montils, grape varieties that were abandoned after the phylloxera crisis in Charente about sixty years ago. This enables this clever Cognac house to produce fantastic white wines with a broad aromatic range for distillation.
