Original board from the famous adventure The Moon Mission (The Adventures of Tintin), dated May 4, 1950 on the back by stamp. This unique piece, measuring 27.6 cm x 21.2 cm, is a rare witness to Hergé's creative process.
Features:
Unpublished textual variants: The speech bubbles in panels 4 and 7 differ from the final published version.
Panel 4: “Eh oui!... Four years ago, we discovered rich uranium deposits in the mountain range [...], captain?...”
(with a slightly modified wording in the definitive edition).
Panel 7: “I was intelligently supported by engineer Frank Wolff [...] and I have just finished the plans [...] to go TO THE MOON... ”
(the final version uses “I was intelligently supported by engineer Frank Wolff [...] and I am in the process of finishing [...] to go TO THE MOON...”).
Stamp and date on the back attest to its origin and its age.
