Description from the seller
Carriage Clock Alarm Clock
Early 20th-century clock (estimated period 1920–1930). This is a carriage clock with an alarm, in its decorative wooden case.
The clock case is in repouséd brass on the front, with crystal panels and a hinged handle. It comes with its original key. The dial features Arabic numerals, a seconds hand, and the dial to set the alarm time. The bell and hammer are housed at the bottom of the clock. Combining a seconds hand and an alarm in a clock from the early 20th century was high technology.
The clock WORKS, both the alarm and the clock itself. It is remarkable that it functions given its age. The power reserve is 1 day. I have a video showing the clock-alarm in operation. It shows signs of wear consistent with its age on the case, as is normal.
In addition, the clock comes with its decorative wooden box. This is very uncommon. Usually the wooden box is lost over time. Its conservation and good condition is extraordinary.
The clock fits inside the box, with the dial visible.
The dimensions are 21 cm high, 20 cm wide, and 17 cm deep.
It will be shipped in appropriate packaging to protect it during transport, using CATAWIKI's smart shipping service.
