Description from the seller

Silver statue crown, 18th century (probably Virgin Mary)

Old crown in repoussé and chiseled silver, intended for a devotional statue, very likely a Marian representation.

It consists of a circular band decorated with raised ovals and diamonds, alternated and underscored by fine texturing. The upper part is openwork and adorned with a continuous motif of arabesques, foliage and stylized florets, with almond shapes and volutes, typical of religious ornamentation of the 17th–18th centuries.

The vegetal decor, rhythmic and symmetrical, evokes Marian symbolism (purity, spiritual fertility), which reinforces the attribution to a Virgin crown.

Old, uniform patina, slight deformations and wear consistent with liturgical use and pedestal on a statue.
Traces of old knocks and losses on certain points

diameter of head 9 cm

The photos are an integral part of the object description and complement its presentation. They allow you to assess its condition and characteristics. Please examine them carefully before any commitment
