Antique silver ink set / desk set – Victorian / ca. 1900 – crystal & sterling silver
Gorgeous antique desk ink set, presumably from the late Victorian / Edwardian period (circa 1880–1910). This decorative writing set consists of a heavy silver base with engravings, two cut crystal ink pots with silver lids, and a holder for a dip pen.
The underside features multiple silver hallmarks, including the lion passant, indicating that it is sterling silver (925). A maker's mark is also visible (E&B) along with a serial number.
This type of desk accessory was formerly used on the desks of notaries, lawyers, and executive offices and is today a beloved collector’s item.
