Description from the seller

CHINA, People's Republic. Medal. 2019

- Value: Medal.
- Year: 2019.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: Chinese dragon with a coiled body inside an ornamental circle, with Chinese characters 上海 and 壹两 distributed around. Reverse: ONE TAEL · SHANGHAI · HONG KONG · 1867, with a crowned quartered shield at the center and the mark G 566 at the bottom.
- Grade: PR70DCAM (PCGS).

Modern commemorative medal, struck in nickel-bright copper, reproducing a design inspired by the Shanghai taels of the 19th century. The obverse features a traditional Chinese imperial dragon, finely detailed, with strong relief and excellent definition in the scales, claws and facial expression, contrasting against deep mirrored fields. The reverse shows a heraldic shield with occidental influence, crowned, surrounded by an English legend, with sharp and balanced engraving. Absolute proof-quality specimen, with intense contrast between mirrored fields and frosted reliefs, no visible defects, representative of the highest level of preservation.

Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
