Abelisaurus dinosaur tooth from the Cenomanian stage of Morocco, an original, naturally preserved Theropod fossil specimen; 18 mm long, 9 mm wide, 5 mm deep, weighing 35 g.

Fossil. An Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth.
Fossil: This perfectly preserved tooth comes from a theropod in the group Abelisauridae, a group of carnivorous dinosaurs. They were recognizable by their extremely small forelimbs, short, deep faces, small sharp teeth, and powerful muscular hind limbs.
This tooth comes from a yet undescribed Abelisaurid species from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco.
So far, probably only two Abelisaurid species have been found in Morocco’s Kem Kem Beds. One Abelisaurid (Rugops primus) was named after the Echkar Formation of Niger.
Ang. Cretaceous Cenomanian about 100 million years
This tooth has a very sharp fine serration on both margins.
Length of fossil: about 18 mm
