AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

GENERAL:

A rare chance: this Rover Mini Cooper is an original and particularly beautiful example with a carburetor, equipped with sought-after John Cooper options and in exceptionally good condition.

The car was originally delivered on November 20, 1991, in Monza (Italy) and remained in the hands of a single collector until 2015. Since then it has come into the hands of a second owner who has continued maintenance and preservation at a high level. With only 84,200 km, this is an original and carefully preserved specimen.

Finished in classic black with the distinctive Old English White roof and mirrors, combined with original John Cooper details, this is a Mini with presence and history.

BODYWORK & PAINT:

The Mini is finished in its original black paint, paired with an Old English White roof. The bodywork is in very nice condition and presents a particularly well-kept appearance.

The car features original Cooper striping, white bonnet stripes and authentic badges and logos, including the characteristic Cooper laurels. The chrome parts, such as bumpers, grille and door handles, are in excellent condition and give the car its classic look.

Furthermore, the car is equipped with 12" Minilight wheels with Falken Cincera tires with nearly new tread, green-tinted glass all around and an original Cooper exhaust. The rubbers around windows and doors are in perfect condition, contributing to the overall quality of this specimen.

TECHNICAL:

Under the hood lies the original 1275cc Cooper engine, equipped with John Cooper upgrades and good for about 65 hp. In 2018 the engine was fully rebuilt, including honing of the cylinders and replacement of several essential components.

The engine features lead-free valve seats, new valve springs, head gasket and bearing shells. Also replaced were the water and oil pump, ignition, radiator and hoses. The original Cooper air filter system with unique inlet has been retained.

The gearbox has been fully rebuilt and equipped with strengthened synchro rings. Brakes have been inspected and renewed where necessary. In March 2026 the car received another major service including new oil.

The car runs excellently and functions technically as it should.

INTERIOR:

The interior is in very neat and original condition and is finished in black Cooper fabric with matching door panels with red piping.

The dashboard features the characteristic 3-dial layout with green dial graphics and a stylish piano black John Cooper dashboard, including the original radio cover.

The car also features a leather Cooper steering wheel, a new Cooper S gear knob, a new mat set and a clean beige headliner. All original details such as sun visors and seat belts are present and in good condition.

DOCUMENTS:

The car comes from two owners and was originally delivered in Italy. The odometer reading of 84,200 km is original. The user manual is present. There is one key set available.

PICK-UP:

The car can be viewed in Meppel (Rogat), Netherlands. You are welcome to arrange a viewing and test drive by appointment.

OTHER INFORMATION:

The floor is rust-free and neatly finished in the body color. The subframes are in excellent condition.

This Mini Cooper is in exceptionally good condition, with everything functioning properly and the driving experience exactly as you would expect from a classic Mini: immediate, playful and characterful.

A highly attractive specimen for the enthusiast or collector, and moreover a sound investment with a high degree of originality and quality.
