Description from the seller

Samsung PS-68A turntable – Scott PS-68A rebrand – vintage hi-fi

Description:

The Samsung PS-68A is a hi-fi record player from the early 1980s, based on the Scott PS-68A. This model is known as a solid, user-friendly turntable with a robust mechanism and classic Japanese build quality. This is a fairly unique example, as most of these models were sold under the Scott brand, and this version was released under Samsung branding.

The turntable supports 33 and 45 rpm and is equipped with a tonearm with adjustable counterweight and anti-skating. Thanks to the semi-automatic operation with auto-return, it is comfortable for everyday use.

This type was sold by several brands in the same period as an OEM model; Samsung brought this version to market under its own brand name.

Operation & condition:

The turntable has been tested and runs steadily. The auto-return function works as intended. There is a cartridge present, but the exact type is unknown; the needle is present, but specifications and wear level are not known. The dust cover is present and shows light scratches, appropriate for its age. The unit is generally in very good condition with normal signs of use expected for vintage equipment.

Included:

- 45 rpm adaptor

- Power cord

- RCA cables

- Ground lead

Additional information:

Type: direct drive
Platter: 310 mm aluminium alloy die-cast
Speeds: 33 and 45 rpm
Wow and flutter: 0.025%
Rumble: 75 dB
Tonearm: static-balanced type
Overhang: 15.5 mm
Dimensions: 420 x 96 x 365 mm
Weight: 5.5 kg

We prefer pickup in Wachtebeke due to fragility, but shipping is possible at your own risk. We will provide as good protection as possible for all parts.
