Soho Cadet – 6x9 folding camera – bakelite – London – ca. 1930–1935 – untested
Offered: an early and characterful Soho Cadet folding camera, produced by Soho Ltd. in London in the 1930s.
This camera is a fine example from the early period of affordable photography and belongs to the first generation of cameras with a bakelite body. The design is typical of the pre-war era, with a folding bellows construction and a simple but effective mechanical system.
The camera uses 120 roll film and produces 6x9 cm frames (8 photos per film), resulting in large negatives with a classic image character.
