Two gold nuggets from the Guelb Ndour Tiris Zemmour region of Mauritania, weighing 0.447 g in total.
Description from the seller
Discovery Zone
23°33’ North
08°06’ West
These nuggets come from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in the north of Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area named Guelb Ndour.
Gold mining in this country was reserved only for a large industrial company.
But since 2016 individual exploitation has been authorized using metal detectors.
I offer them as I discovered them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water.
The gold from this region is fairly pure; in general its purity is around 950 to 980 milleths, which corresponds to 22.80 to 23.50 carats.
Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s main resources, nuggets are fairly rare because almost all of the gold is melted into bars which are then sent to Dubai.
All photos were taken in natural daylight.
I photographed these nuggets as honestly and precisely as possible using daylight.
Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tones.
The nuggets you will receive are, of course, the ones in the photos.
I offer fast secure discreet shipping in a tear-proof C5 envelope (162mm x 229mm) by La Poste, sent by registered mail.
