I am offering here from my Japanese collection a high-quality tape deck Sony TC K 333 ESJ. It dates from the penultimate model year 1993-1994, when the TC KA devices appeared, which were technically largely the same as this model and only underwent cosmetic changes. After that, Sony stopped producing high-end ES models. The device is most comparable to the TC K 990 from the 1991/1992 model year. The 990, however, does not have Dolby S and the transport of the 333 was refined in detail once more. Sony slowly moved away from producing high-end ES decks as early as 1992, so this model was no longer offered on the European market and was only available in Japan.

The device underwent service in 2023, which means:
- All belts were replaced and Thakker quality belts installed
- The two pinch rollers were renewed
- The capstans were degreased and fitted with fresh sintered bearing oil during installation
- Tape path was readjusted with the ABEX THG 801 measurement gauge
- The tape heads were demagnetized and cleaned
- The azimuth was adjusted at 10 kHz using an original Agfa test cassette per IEC 94, Part 2
- A 2-hour test recording was made on sensitive C-120 tape
