Description from the seller
The Akai AP-B20C is a charming and reliable belt-driven turntable from the early 1980s, which at the time was loved for its excellent value for money. The unit is equipped with a semi-automatic mechanism, which means that the tonearm returns to its rest at the end of the record and the motor stops. Thanks to the vibration-free synchronous motor and the balanced aluminum platter, this Akai offers a stable and quiet run. The statically balanced J-shaped tonearm ensures precise tracing of the grooves, resulting in a warm and detailed playback of your favorite vinyl collection.
Specifications:
Platter: 300 mm aluminum alloy die/cast
Speeds: 33 1/3 and 45 rpm
Wow and flutter: 0.05% WRMS
Signal to noise ratio: 65 dB
The turntable works perfectly.
The only problem is that the hinge needs to be replaced; the dust cover won’t stay open and falls shut.
