Description from the seller
Pair of lounge chairs designed by Jaroslav Šmídek in the 1960s and produced in Czechoslovakia by the state-owned TON (Thonet before the war).
These modernist chairs feature an elegant solid beech frame with ergonomic floating armrests and compass-style legs, a slightly inclined base typical of post-war design.
They were upholstered in a very nice dark gray corduroy velvet, which gives them a certain modern touch. Nice look, very comfortable.
Dimensions:
Width: 61 cm
Depth: 73 cm
Height: 83 cm
Seat height: 41 cm
The chairs are stable and comfortable. They have been refurbished, with new padding, fabric, elastic straps, and high-quality cold foam.
Light signs of wear commensurate with age.
The chairs have been fully reupholstered (elastic straps, cold foam, new padding, velvet fabric).
Timeless design, ideal for a mid-century, Scandinavian, or contemporary interior.
Pickup in Brussels.
