Description from the seller

Saint Seraphim of Sarov, one of the most revered saints of Russian spirituality.

Half-figure bust, with a symbolic golden background (divine light).

Tilted head and a humble gaze, very characteristic of this saint.

Hand over the chest, a gesture of interior prayer and compunction.

Dark monastic robes, typical of a starets (spiritual elder).

A clear stole or epitrachelion with crosses, indicating his priestly status.

A golden halo emphasizing his holiness.

The lower inscription reads in Cyrillic:
"Прп. Серафим" (Abbreviation of Prepodobny Serafim, that is, “Saint Seraphim”).

Saint Seraphim is known for:

His teaching on the acquisition of the Holy Spirit.

His life of constant prayer and retreat in the forest.

His characteristic greeting:
“Christ is risen, my joy.”

The gesture of the hand on the chest precisely reflects that inner spirituality, centered on the peace of the heart.

Frame decoration with geometric and vegetal motifs.

Warm palette, with a predominance of ochres and aged golds.
