Kowa Model E met 2/50mm | Single lens reflex camera (SLR)

The Kowa E is a 35mm SLR camera. Between 1962 and 1966 this camera was produced in Japan by Kowa Optical Works. The Kowa E features a coupled selenium light meter cell which, unfortunately, no longer functions. This is actually not a problem because working with a handheld light meter yields better results than the original selenium cell (assuming it would have worked, of course).

The Prominar f2/50mm lens is not interchangeable and the glass is undamaged, has no scratches or cleaning marks, and there is no mold or haze present.

The Seikosha SLV leaf shutter has speeds of B, 1 sec up to 1/500 sec that all work very well by feel and are perfectly adjustable.

The diaphragm operates from f2 to f16 and adjusts without problems.

Appearance is very nice with only light signs of use. See photos.

Included is an original leather Kowa camera case with short strap in good condition.

It will be packed very securely and shipped with a Track & Trace number and insurance.
