Gold nugget from Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, weighing 0.3 g.
Description from the seller
Beautiful gold nuggets, originating from Kalgoorlie, Australia.
Total lot weight: 0.30 g
Gold nuggets from Western Australia, in particular from the historic gold-bearing region of Kalgoorlie, are among the most prized by collectors and treasure hunters worldwide. This area, located in the Yilgarn Craton, is one of the richest and oldest gold districts on Earth.
The nuggets consist of native gold of high purity, sometimes with small natural traces of silver or copper. They formed about 2.5 billion years ago during hydrothermal mineralization processes inside quartz veins. Over time, erosion of the rocks released the gold, allowing the formation of natural alluvial nuggets with unique shapes.
Each nugget represents a natural, unrepeatable specimen, valued not only for its gold content but also for the geological and collecting significance tied to the great gold deposits of Western Australia.
Total Weight: 0.30 g
