Description from the seller

Beautiful, richly colored, very large XXL shell of Charonia Tritonis—the common name Triton’s horn or giant triton—is a species of a very large sea snail, a mollusk of the family Charoniidae, the tritons. It is one of the largest mollusks on the coral reef.
The shell is thick and heavy, tightly spiraled into the shape of an elongated tower. It ends in a sharp apex, gradually widening toward the aperture.
Strongly ribbed, with pronounced spiral ridges and tubercles.
The shell color is most often yellowish, creamy or brown with irregular, darker spots and bands. The aperture (shell opening) is large, wide, oval.
The interior is smooth, often in orange, pink or reddish-brown, contrasting with the outer surface of the shell. The outer lip is thick, sometimes wavy, often with delicate serrations.
Notable features—thanks to its large size and distinctive structure, it has been used in many cultures as a wind instrument (shell horn).
It is valued by collectors and has significance in art and rituals. Dimensions—135×195×370 mm. Highly recommended for collectors and interior decorators.
