AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Stunning portico clock from the Charles X era, around 1825, veneered in precious wood, probably boxwood, with floral marquetry.

The architectural frame rests on four cylindrical veneered columns, adorned with capitals and bases in finely chased and gilded bronze.

The pediment and the base feature elegant marquetry with scrollwork, flowers and a stylized bird, typical of the refined taste of the period.

The dial in patinated metal with wear is framed by a gilt bronze bezel with a vegetal motif and signed Bury in Niort.
The white part around the edge of the clock is probably original.

It is in good condition and comes with its key.

It would need to be wound to show the time.
