The item consists of:
• A handwritten letter signed “Roddy McDowall”
• Dated 1941 (during his early Hollywood career, aged approximately 12–13)
• Written on official Hollywood stationery with his name printed in the top right corner
• Dark blue bordered letterhead
• Original envelope included
• Clear Los Angeles postmark dated 1941
• Ink is original and clearly handwritten (not printed)
• Paper is high quality and in very good condition
The letter was written to a fan and reflects his early career period around the time of “How Green Was My Valley.” The inclusion of the original envelope and period stationery makes it a complete and historically interesting piece. Also included is a newspaper clipping from the time
