Fluorite exemplar from Pakistan with muscovite, showing blue to green octahedral growth, weighing 208 g and measuring 6 × 7 × 5.5 cm, from CHUMARBAKHOOR – NAGAR GILGIT DIST. – BALTISTAN REG., Pakistan.
Description from the seller
Depending on the incidence of light, this beautifully octahedrally grown fluorite appears in a blue to greenish coloration. The surface bears beautiful natural etchings. In combination with the grown muscovite, it yields an extraordinary aesthetic that leaves little to be desired.
Fluorite from Pakistan is somewhat rarer on the market. These beautiful crystals are found in the mines of Pakistan's northwestern border province, especially in the regions around the towns of Chumar Bakhoor, Khapalu, and Kohistan. The Pakistani fluorites are characterized by their impressive color variety, transparency and unique crystal forms. The crystals can also exhibit several colors within a single stone, making them sought-after collectibles.
The crystal forms vary from cubic to octahedral structures, giving each stone a unique aesthetic quality. This diversity in crystal formation makes every fluorite from Pakistan an individual work of art.
