Description from the seller
Silver tea strainer – Netherlands, 1928 – traditional Dutch style
Elegant tea strainer crafted in sterling silver, of Dutch origin, precisely dated to the year 1928, representing an excellent example of Dutch silversmithing from the first third of the 20th century.
The piece stands out for its rich relief and pierced decoration, with traditional scenes typically Dutch: windmills, rural landscapes and boats, elements deeply rooted in the cultural identity of the Netherlands. This type of iconography gives the work notable artistic and collector interest.
The perforated bowl is executed with great precision, ensuring its functionality, while the frame features an elaborate ornamental work of flowing lines. The handle incorporates a stylized decorative figure, adding character and uniqueness to the piece.
Clear contrasts are visible, including the master’s mark “HH,” as well as official Dutch assay marks (rampant lion and other marks), which certify the authenticity and quality of the silver, together with the date corresponding to the year 1928.
Characteristics:
• Material: sterling silver (guaranteed)
• Origin: Netherlands (Holland)
• Dating: 1928
• Technique: casting, piercing and chiseling

Very good overall condition, with light signs of aging in keeping with its antique status, not affecting its functionality or its aesthetics.
