Description from the seller
Pie/t tart dish / compote on a foot in tinted glass rosaline (pale pink), probably Scailmont, Belgium, first half of the 20th century.
Unsigned piece in mass-produced glass. Classic form on a low foot, wide slightly concave plate with a wavy scalloped rim, radiating relief pattern in a twisted or stylized palm motif on the plate and the foot (typical of Scailmont’s pressed tinted glass productions).
Good overall condition, clear and brilliant glass with a uniform deep rosaline tint, no cracks, no major chips nor deep scratches. Some discreet signs of wear on the edges of the foot and rim (light natural edge chipping from use), without notable aesthetic impact. No visible restoration.
Provenance: private Belgian collection.
Dimensions: total height 13 cm, maximum plate diameter 33.5 cm.
Weight: 1600 g.
