Description from the seller

Flared cup on a pedestal in bronze from the Western Zhou Dynasty (1100-771 BC).
External walls adorned with Taotie mask friezes in incised relief.
Below, an inscription is engraved in the bronze.
On the pedestal, a frieze incised in relief adorns the exterior wall above a bulge.
On each side, symmetrically, a Taotie mask in relief holds a ring.
Very attractive green, blue, and red patina, forming thick calcified crusts in places.
The bronze has been stabilized by chemical treatment after excavation to prevent deterioration when exposed to air.
Deformation and loss at the neck.
Dimensions: 21 x 21 x 15 cm.
