Silver Vanity - Box - Germany, early 20th century

Small round 800 silver vanity box of German origin, dated to the early 20th century (ca. 1915–1935).

The lid is decorated with fine guilloché-style engraving. The interior retains the original mirror, which is currently loose and not glued back in place. This was left intentionally, allowing the future owner to decide on the preferred use or restoration.

Originally intended as a vanity or compact box, the piece is also well suited for use as a pill box, trinket box, or small personal storage container, making it a versatile and collectible silver item.

Hallmarked “800”, with an additional small circular maker’s mark, partially struck close to the rim and therefore not fully identifiable. The mark is consistent with the work of a minor German silversmith or workshop.
