Elegant and refined centerpiece basket in solid 800 silver, an exemplar of Milanese artistic silverware from the first half of the 20th century.

Manufacturer: Arno Fassi (Milan), identifying hallmark 770 MI.
Dating: Certified by the diamond-shaped mark with the Fasces, used exclusively between 1934 and 1944.

Artistic Characteristics:
The basket features a superb openwork (traforata) that simulates a stylized wicker weave. The lobed edge is richly decorated with floral motifs (roses and peonies) executed with the repoussé and chasing technique. The fixed handle repeats the vine-like motif, imparting harmony and solidity to the whole structure.
