Gorgeous crystal decanter with a sterling silver stopper bearing the hallmark of the renowned silver and goldsmith Mappin & Webb in Birmingham.

The hallmarks:
MN&WB: this stands for Mappin & Webb, a prestigious company that received its first Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria in 1897.
Anchor: this is Birmingham's town mark. It indicates that the silver has been tested and certified by the Assay Office in Birmingham.
Lion passant: the standard mark for Sterling Silver. It consists of 92.5% pure silver.
Letter 'e' is the date letter and corresponds to the year 1904.
Mappin & Webb is one of the most renowned names in the British silver industry and is still active as a jeweller to the British Royal Household.
